Africa-Press – Ethiopia. <\/strong><\/span>Military attache\u0301s and international partners residing in Ethiopia briefed about the current situation in Ethiopia.<\/p>\n

The first 2024 meeting of military attache\u0301s and international partners organized by the Ethiopian National Defense Forces (ENDF) held in Addis Abeba this morning.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister Ambassador Redwan Hussien along with African Affairs Director General Ambassador Fesseha Shawel at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have briefed the military attache\u0301s and representatives of international partners on current affairs in the country.<\/p>\n

The briefing includes the implementation and progress of the Pretoria peace agreement, the recent MoU signed between Ethiopia and Somaliland, and other current security issues in the country.<\/p>\n

Ambassador Redwan said at the event that the government of Ethiopia is working with strong commitment for the effective implementation of the Pretoria peace accord citing the positive measures so far taken to realizing this commitment.<\/p>\n

He has also mentioned the role of some international partners in supporting the ongoing reconstruction efforts in the region.<\/p>\n

Opening the meeting, ENDF International Relations and Military Cooperation Director-General Major General Teshome Gemechu said the meeting aims to update the military attaches and partners on contemporarily security issue in the country.<\/p>\n

Acknowledging the partners for their better cooperation with Ethiopia in the year 2023 is also the other objective of today\u2019s meeting, he added.<\/p>\n

Major General Teshome recalled that there were similar meeting, where members of the attache\u0301s and representative of the international and regional organization came together to discuss on mutual cooperation.<\/p>\n

Moreover, he elaborated that the military diplomacy has a huge task in developing and maintaining productive mutual relationship.<\/p>\n
