Africa-Press – Ethiopia. <\/strong><\/span>Residents of Addis Ababa requested to actively participate at digital telethon organized to raise 50 million Birr for the implementation of \u2018Clean Ethiopia,\u2019 campaign initiated by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.<\/p>\n

It is to be recalled that Prime Minister Abiy unveiled plans to construct modern, clean and dignified public restrooms, with a strong emphasis on community involvement in the construction.<\/p>\n

Addis Ababa City Mayor, Adanech Abiebie said the initiative is crucial to accelerate the efforts being carried out to modernize the city to meet international standard.<\/p>\n

The mayor called on the residents to join the ongoing fundraising campaign to help the effective implementation of the initiative.<\/p>\n

The initiative includes digital telethon to raise finance for the construction of public sanitation facilities.<\/p>\n

Today\u2019s digital telethon is part of this fundraising campaign aimed at raising 50 million Birr in a ten hours period.<\/p>\n

Ethiopians both inside the country and abroad have already started providing financial support to the effective implementation of the project.<\/p>\n

The campaign is a great opportunity to involve all Ethiopians, including those living abroad in the diaspora, members of the international community residing in Addis Ababa, and friends of Ethiopia.<\/p>\n
