Africa-Press<\/a> – Ethiopia<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>March 11\/2021(ENA)Thousands of Ethiopians residing in Washington D.C and Canada staged in support of the recent law enforcement operation undertaken in Tigray and protesting meddling from foreign governments in Ethiopia\u2019s internal affairs.<\/p>\n

The demonstrators in Washington D.C. were expressed their support for the government\u2019s law enforcement operation in Tigray as well as its ongoing humanitarian assistance and rehabilitation efforts in the region.<\/p>\n

The Ethiopians and Ethiopian origin urged various countries, international organizations and the media institutions to be refrained from spreading sham propaganda of the extremist TPLF supporters.<\/p>\n

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister, Demeke Mekonen thanked the demonstrators for showing the truth to the wider world with a strong sense of patriotism regarding the real and current face of Ethiopia.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe would like to express our deepest gratitude and respect to all of you who are in the process of mobilizing similar demonstrations in other parts of the world to remind the West about the reality of Ethiopia on the ground,\u201d Demeke stressed.<\/p>\n

Similarly, Ethiopians and Ethiopian origin living in Canada and Eritreans have expressed their support for Ethiopia in a peaceful demonstration and protest some international institutions and countries to stop their disinformation-led pressures .<\/p>\n

The demonstrators across Canada have taken to the streets and protest the international institutions and countries\u2019 pressure on the Ethiopia as they expressed support for the government in cracking down criminals.<\/p>\n

In connection with the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD), they called on all actors to respect the rights of Ethiopia to use its natural resources.<\/p>\n

Ethiopians and Ethiopian origin across the world are expected to stage similar demonstrations which targeted on protesting some countries and international institutions that are pressurizing the country leading by disinformation campaigners and TPLF propagandists.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
