n style=”color: #ff6600;”>Africa-Press<\/a> – Ethiopia<\/a>. <\/strong>March 20\/2021(ENA )Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed today launched the Wenchi tourist attraction development project located in Oromia Regional State.<\/p>\n

The development project is part of the \u2018Dine for Ethiopia\u2019 initiative that was introduced by Prime Minister Abiy last year August.<\/p>\n

Speaker of House of Peoples\u2019 Representative, Tagesse Chafo and Oromia Region President Shimeles Abdissa presided over the launching ceremony.<\/p>\n

During the occasion, Prime Minister Abiy said that the Wenchi Dandi Eco-Tourism Project is expected to play a pivotal role to the development of tourism sector in the country in addition to its contribution to improve the lives of the locals.<\/p>\n

Since the project would provide several services including horse riding and athletics sports competitions, it is expected to attract a lot of international tourists, he said and added that the services rendered will create jobs to the local youth and help improve the lives of the farmers.<\/p>\n

The PM also announced plan to organize half marathon after six months at Wenchi recreation site.<\/p>\n

It is to be recalled that Ethiopians both at home and abroad contributed 4.2 billion Birr for \u2018Dine for Ethiopia\u2019 to develop Gorgora, Wenchi and Koysha projects located in Amhara, Oromia and Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples\u2019 Region respectively.<\/p>\n
