Africa-Press<\/a> – Ethiopia<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Addis Ababa, March 30\/2021(ENA) Over 3.2 billion seedlings are readied for the Green Development Program to be carried out in Ethiopia this rainy season, according to Ministry of Agriculture.<\/p>\n

The ministry envisions readying 7 billion seedlings for the program this rainy season, it was learned.<\/p>\n

Ministry of Agriculture held discussion about the preparation of seedlings with heads of regional agriculture bureaux heads today.<\/p>\n

Agriculture Minister Umer Hussien said on the occasion preparations are underway in the regions.<\/p>\n

Land and seedlings preparations have been made, he stated, adding that over 3.2 billion seedlings and 344,000 hectares of land have been readied.<\/p>\n

With the view to planting 20 billion trees in four years since the commencement of the program in 2019, 7 billion seedlings would be planted this rainy season as the performances during the past two years showed better performances, it was learned.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
