Africa-Press – Ethiopia. <\/strong><\/span>Leaders of Caribbean nations are arriving in Addis Ababa to participate in the Second African-CARICOM Summit.<\/p>\n

Heads of State and Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), the CARICOM Secretary-General, and other regional and international representatives will join their African counterparts in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on 7 September for the Second Africa-CARICOM Summit.<\/p>\n

Accordingly, leaders of Caribbean nations are arriving in Addis Ababa to participate in the Summit.<\/p>\n

Prime Minister Gaston Alphonso Browne of Antigua and Barbuda, Prime Minister Philip Edward Davis of The Bahamas, and Prime Minister Dr. Ralph E. Gonsalves of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, as well as the Prime Minister of Barbados, Mia Amor Mottley, arrived in Addis Ababa today.<\/p>\n

High-level government officials welcomed the leaders at the Addis Ababa Bole International Airport.<\/p>\n

The Summit is expected to welcome the presidents of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund, and Heads of the African and Caribbean Development Banks, as well as the Afreximbank, along with Representatives from the broader African Union and the United Nations systems.<\/p>\n

On 6 September, the African Union Commission will host a high-level side event focusing on reparations, memory, and sovereignty.<\/p>\n

Ministers of Health from the African and Caribbean will convene for a joint meeting hosted by the Ministry of Health of Ethiopia, the African Union Commission, CARICOM, and HeDPAC.<\/p>\n
