Africa-Press<\/a> – Ethiopia<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Addis Ababa April 28 \/2021 (ENA) The Ethiopian diaspora in Milan, Italy, have held a rally in support of the Government of Ethiopia and condemning the efforts to compromise the country\u2019s sovereignty and tarnish its image.<\/p>\n

Participants of the rally condemned the unsubstantiated media reports related to the law enforcement operation and its objectives in Tigray region.<\/p>\n

They instead stressed the need for concrete support to alleviate the problems of the people in need of aid in the region, according to Ministry of Foreign Affairs.<\/p>\n

Regarding the negotiations over GERD, the demonstrators appreciated the government\u2019s stance to secure a mutually beneficial outcome and urged Sudan and Egypt to follow suit.<\/p>\n

They also called on the international community to put pressure on Sudan to respect Ethiopia\u2019s sovereignty and evacuate its invading forces from Ethiopia\u2019s territories.<\/p>\n

The demonstrators have also expressed their support to the government\u2019s efforts to make the upcoming elections free, fair, and democratic, adding that power should only emanate from the ballot and tendencies to do otherwise should be strongly discouraged.<\/p>\n

Eritreans have also participated in the rally supporting Ethiopia\u2019s efforts in neutralizing the destructive propaganda campaigns of remnants of TPLF hard liners and its sympathizers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
