Ces groupes ont attaque\u0301 des villages, des e\u0301coles et des lieux de culte, notamment l\u2019enle\u0300vement de plus de 160 fide\u0300les de deux e\u0301glises a\u0300 Kaduna le 18 janvier.<\/p>\n<p>Le porte-parole de l\u2019arme\u0301e, le commandant Olaniyi Osoba, a de\u0301clare\u0301 que les forces avaient pris d\u2019assaut une cache bien connue des gangs dans le Zamfara apre\u0300s avoir rec\u0327u des informations faisant e\u0301tat d\u2019otages de\u0301tenus sur place. L\u2019arme\u0301e a confirme\u0301 que les 62 otages avaient e\u0301te\u0301 sauve\u0301s et sont maintenant en se\u0301curite\u0301, et que des efforts e\u0301taient en cours pour les re\u0301unir avec leurs familles.<\/p>\n<p>Lors d\u2019une ope\u0301ration distincte, les forces ont tendu une embuscade aux assaillants de Lakurawa pre\u0300s de la frontie\u0300re entre le comte\u0301 d\u2019Oji dans l\u2019E\u0301tat de Kebbi et l\u2019E\u0301tat voisin de Sokoto, apre\u0300s avoir rec\u0327u des renseignements sur les mouvements du groupe, selon Osoba.<\/p>\n<p>Le Nigeria a e\u0301te\u0301 critique\u0301 par le pre\u0301sident ame\u0301ricain Donald Trump, qui l\u2019a accuse\u0301 de ne\u0301gliger la protection des chre\u0301tiens face aux militants actifs dans le nord-ouest.<\/p>\n<p>Les forces ame\u0301ricaines ont mene\u0301 des frappes contre des cibles de l\u2019E\u0301tat islamique dans le nord-ouest du Nigeria.
