Cette transaction \u00ab dette-nature \u00bb marque, pour le Gabon, \u00ab le de\u0301but d\u2019un projet de pre\u0301servation sur quinze ans \u00bb, s\u2019est fe\u0301licite\u0301 TNC, l\u2019un des principaux acteurs du projet.<\/p>\n<p><b>Finance verte<\/b><\/p>\n<p>A\u0300 travers cette ope\u0301ration de \u00ab conversion de dette \u00bb, le Gabon a be\u0301ne\u0301ficie\u0301 de l\u2019e\u0301mission d\u2019une nouvelle obligation de sa dette publique, a\u0300 hauteur de 500 millions de dollars, soit 3% de la dette nationale, par la Bank of America. Toujours selon TNC, les remboursements de ces nouvelles obligations aux taux d\u2019inte\u0301re\u0302ts plus favorables et garanties contre les risques politiques par l\u2019US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), une agence ame\u0301ricaine, devraient \u00ab ge\u0301ne\u0301rer 163 millions de dollars \u00bb, qui alimenteront pendant quinze ans un \u00ab fonds inde\u0301pendant \u00bb destine\u0301 a\u0300 des projets de pre\u0301servation des oce\u0301ans au Gabon. Un autre fonds de \u00ab dotation \u00bb sera e\u0301galement approvisionne\u0301 et \u00ab continuera de financer la pre\u0301servation des oce\u0301ans apre\u0300s le remboursement des obligations \u00bb, pre\u0301cise TNC.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab C\u2019est un petit premier pas \u00bb, s\u2019est re\u0301jouit Lee White. \u00ab Depuis des anne\u0301es, on parle de finance verte, d\u2019accompagner les pays positifs en carbone ou en biodiversite\u0301, mais il y a peu d\u2019actions.
