Africa-Press – Gabon. <\/strong><\/span>Les imams du Gabon ont unanimement rejete\u0301 samedi la candidature d\u2019Abdul Razzak Kabongo a\u0300 la pre\u0301sidence du Conseil supe\u0301rieur des affaires islamiques du Gabon (CSAIG) au profit de l\u2019imam Benyamin Andjoua Obolo qui a assure\u0301 l\u2019inte\u0301rim a\u0300 la te\u0302te de cette plus haute institution de la foi musulmane au Gabon, selon les re\u0301sultats d\u2019un vote a\u0300 l\u2019issue du 5e\u0300me congre\u0300s de la communaute\u0301 organise\u0301 samedi a\u0300 Libreville.<\/b><\/p>\n

Seulement 4 imams ont vote\u0301 en faveur d\u2019Abdul Razzak Kabongo (9.76%) contre 37 imams en faveur de son adversaire Benyamin Andjoua Obolo soit 90.24% d\u2019e\u0301lecteurs.<\/p>\n

Ce vote clair et limpide de\u0301signe l\u2019imam Benyamin Andjoua Obolo comme pre\u0301sident de la communaute\u0301 musulmane du Gabon.<\/p>\n

Si Abdul Razzak Kabongo qui avait le soutient du bord de mer, selon des sources non officielles, ne conteste pas sa de\u0301faite, l\u2019heureux e\u0301lu succe\u0300de de\u0301sormais a\u0300 l\u2019imam Ismae\u0308l Oceni Ossa qui a dirige\u0301 la communaute\u0301 durant environ deux de\u0301cennies.<\/p>\n

L\u2019islam est une religion minoritaire au Gabon. Elle a cependant longtemps e\u0301te\u0301 mise en valeur dans le pays parce que les anciens pre\u0301sidents gabonais, Omar Bongo et son fils Ali Bongo en e\u0301taient fide\u0300les et pratiquant. L\u2019islam a donc souvent e\u0301te\u0301 conside\u0301re\u0301e comme la religion \u00ab d\u2019Etat \u00bb au Gabon.<\/p>\n

Le grand imam a toujours eu un rang protocolaire au Gabon, pays ou\u0300 la tole\u0301rance religieuse est un dogme.<\/p>\n
