Africa-Press – Gabon. <\/strong><\/span>Pour c\u00e9l\u00e9brer la f\u00eate de l\u2019Ind\u00e9pendance cette ann\u00e9e, l\u2019Observatoire chr\u00e9tien pour la paix (OCP) a choisi d\u2019honorer les personnes en situation de handicap \u00e0 travers un banquet. La structure a appel\u00e9 les pouvoirs publics \u00e0 cr\u00e9er un fonds pour la prise en charge des personnes vuln\u00e9rables.<\/p>\n

L\u2018Observatoire chr\u00e9tien pour la paix (OCP) a offert un magnifique banquet aux personnes en situation de handicap, le 17 ao\u00fbt, \u00e0 l\u2019occasion de la c\u00e9l\u00e9bration de la f\u00eate de l\u2019ind\u00e9pendance. \u00abCe banquet nous apporte beaucoup de joie et nous fait savoir qu\u2019il y a des personnes qui ont un int\u00e9r\u00eat pour nous\u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Prosp\u00e8re Eyeang Mekang, le pr\u00e9sident de l\u2019Association nationale des personnes handicap\u00e9es. \u00abC\u2019est bienvenu pour la communaut\u00e9 des personnes vivant avec un handicap qui sont souvent oubli\u00e9es par les gouvernants. Nous demandons aux autorit\u00e9s de suivre l\u2019exemple que l\u2019\u00e9glise montre aujourd\u2019hui\u00bb, a-t-il ajout\u00e9.<\/p>\n

\u00c0 travers cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement d\u00e9nomm\u00e9 Banquet de l\u2019ind\u00e9pendance et de la paix, l\u2019OCP a dit vouloir honorer cette partie de la population souvent \u00aboubli\u00e9e\u00bb, voire \u00abmarginalis\u00e9e\u00bb durant la c\u00e9l\u00e9bration de la f\u00eate nationale. \u00abNous croyons que le chr\u00e9tien est avant tout un citoyen. Et nous devons c\u00e9l\u00e9brer notre ind\u00e9pendance. Mais au lieu de la c\u00e9l\u00e9brer avec des convives des institutions r\u00e9publicaines et consorts, nous avons d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de le faire avec des personnes marginalis\u00e9es dans la soci\u00e9t\u00e9\u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le coordonnateur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de l\u2019OCP.<\/p>\n

Rappelant que l\u2019OCP n\u2019est pas un parti politique et n\u2019a pas pour objectif de collecter des voix pour les prochaines \u00e9ch\u00e9ances \u00e9lectorales, Max Alexandre Ngoua assure que l\u2019id\u00e9e \u00e9tait d\u2019apporter \u00e0 ces personnes un message d\u2019espoir. \u00abLeur faire comprendre que si la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 les met en marge, Dieu ne les met pas en marge. C\u2019est le message que nous portons. Nous portons \u00e9galement un message de coh\u00e9sion sociale et de communion fraternelle\u00bb, a-t-il ajout\u00e9, indiquant tout aussi que l\u2019organisation de cette rencontre \u00e9tait une mani\u00e8re d\u2019interpeller les pouvoirs publics sur la prise en charge de ces personnes vuln\u00e9rables.<\/p>\n

Il a appel\u00e9 \u00e0 la mise en \u0153uvre d\u2019 \u00abun programme politique\u00bb qui prenne en compte cette cat\u00e9gorie de la population. \u00abNous voulons interpeller les pouvoirs publics en sorte qu\u2019il y ait \u00e0 l\u2019endroit des handicap\u00e9s, des d\u00e9munis, des veuves et des orphelins, un fonds sp\u00e9cial r\u00e9publicain\u00bb. Ce fonds, pr\u00e9cise-t-il, leur permettra de financer les \u00e9tudes de leurs prog\u00e9nitures et plus g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement, les aider \u00e0 se prendre en charge.<\/p>\n
