{"id":927,"date":"2021-01-21T04:42:23","date_gmt":"2021-01-21T04:42:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/gabon\/?p=927"},"modified":"2021-01-21T03:57:30","modified_gmt":"2021-01-21T03:57:30","slug":"gabon-au-coeur-du-bras-de-fer-entre-la-societe-civile-et-le-groupe-petrolier-perenco","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/gabon\/dossiers\/gabon-au-coeur-du-bras-de-fer-entre-la-societe-civile-et-le-groupe-petrolier-perenco","title":{"rendered":"Gabon : au c\u0153ur du bras de fer entre la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 civile et le groupe p\u00e9trolier Perenco"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a> &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/gabon\">Gabon<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Des organisations de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 civile ont demand\u00e9 le 15 janvier au tribunal de Port-Gentil la cessation des activit\u00e9s du groupe p\u00e9trolier franco-britannique ainsi qu\u2019une expertise environnementale.<\/p>\n<p>Le 15 janvier, le R\u00e9seau des organisations libres de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 civile pour la bonne gouvernance au Gabon (ROLBG) a d\u00e9pos\u00e9 devant le pr\u00e9sident du tribunal de Port-Gentil une demande d\u2019expertise afin d faire analyser l\u2019impact environnemental des activit\u00e9s de Perenco dans le d\u00e9partement d\u2019Etimbou\u00e9 (Ogoou\u00e9-maritime).<\/p>\n<p>Repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 par l\u2019avocat Anges Kevin Nzigou, le ROLBG estime, dans le document qu\u2019a pu consulter Jeune Afrique, que \u00ab les populations du d\u00e9partement sont victimes de mar\u00e9es noires et d\u2019\u00e9pandages de produits p\u00e9troliers \u00bb et que \u00ab l\u2019impact environnemental des activit\u00e9s d\u2019extraction de l\u2019entreprise Perenco affecte principalement la qualit\u00e9 de l\u2019air, la qualit\u00e9 de l\u2019eau, les ressources et la sant\u00e9 humaine des populations \u00bb.<\/p>\n<p><b>La pr\u00e9sidence suit le dossier<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Toujours selon cette requ\u00eate, Perenco exploiterait des \u00ab sites jug\u00e9s trop v\u00e9tustes et mal entretenus \u00bb, lesquels \u00ab causent un \u00e9norme pr\u00e9judice aux populations (probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9, pollution des eaux, empoisonnement des cultures et des poissons), qu\u2019il conviendrait de faire cesser \u00bb. Le ROLBG r\u00e9clame \u00ab la d\u00e9signation d\u2019un cabinet d\u2019expertise \u00bb et la suspension temporaire des exploitations de Perenco dans l\u2019Etimbou\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Il est incontestable, au regard des constats mat\u00e9riels effectu\u00e9s, que l\u2019exploitation actuelle de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Perenco [expose] les populations \u00e0 un danger r\u00e9el [et que], dans la mesure o\u00f9 cette exposition au danger est manifestement illicite, il conviendra, dans l\u2019intervalle des op\u00e9rations d\u2019expertise, de faire cesser ce trouble en ordonnant la suspension de l\u2019exploitation \u00bb, explique Me Nzigou.<\/p>\n<p>Selon nos informations, le cas Perenco est suivi au plus haut sommet de l\u2019\u00c9tat, le ministre du P\u00e9trole Vincent de Paul Massassa ayant sign\u00e9 en octobre un nouvel avenant au contrat liant son pays au groupe franco-britannique. Le Haut-commissaire \u00e0 l\u2019environnement, Yannick Ongonwou Sonnet, est charg\u00e9 du dossier, en liaison avec l\u2019entreprise, la Direction g\u00e9n\u00e9rale des hydrocarbures et celles de l\u2019environnement et des \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes aquatiques.<\/p>\n<p>Un cadre de suivi a \u00e9t\u00e9 mis en place sur instruction de la pr\u00e9sidence gabonaise, sous la houlette d\u2019Ongonwou Sonnet, des dirigeants de Perenco au Gabon, Christophe Blanc et Baptiste Breton, et du directeur des hydrocarbures gabonais, Jean-F\u00e9lix Obamba.
