Le navire restera en production jusqu\u2019au 4 octobre prochain, avant d\u2019\u00eatre remplac\u00e9 par une Unit\u00e9 flottante de stockage et de d\u00e9chargement (FSO). <\/b><\/p>\n<p>Un peu de sursis pour BW Offshore. Le sp\u00e9cialiste norv\u00e9gien des flotteurs vient d\u2019obtenir une prolongation de contrat \u00e0 court terme pour son Unit\u00e9 flottante de production, de stockage et de d\u00e9chargement (FSPO), le Petr\u00f3leo Nautipa qui op\u00e8re au large du Gabon. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 cette rallonge de deux semaines, l\u2019unit\u00e9 construite en 1975 restera en production sur le champ exploit\u00e9 par Vaalco Energy, du 20 septembre au 4 octobre prochain, avant sa d\u00e9mobilisation.<\/p>\n<p>En 2020, Vaalco avait d\u00e9j\u00e0 affich\u00e9 son intention de se \u00abd\u00e9barrasser\u00bb du FPSO Petr\u00f3leo Nautipa, pr\u00e9sent sur le champ Etame depuis 2002, en vue d\u2019\u00e9conomiser 15 \u00e0 20 millions dollars bruts par an en frais d\u2019exploitation, notamment. Un horizon \u00e0 port\u00e9e de main. En effet, la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 p\u00e9troli\u00e8re bas\u00e9e \u00e0 Houston, aux \u00c9tats-Unis, va d\u00e9sormais opter pour une Unit\u00e9 flottante de stockage et de d\u00e9chargement (FSO) en lieu et place du FPSO.<\/p>\n<p>En ao\u00fbt dernier, l\u2019op\u00e9rateur a r\u00e9serv\u00e9 le p\u00e9trolier Cap Diamant, construit en 2001, aupr\u00e8s de World Carrier Offshore Services pour qu\u2019il fonctionne comme FSO pendant huit ans, avec des p\u00e9riodes d\u2019option suppl\u00e9mentaires.
