Africa-Press – Gambia. The Coastal Town boys slipped to Wagadu FC 4-1 in the first round of the country’s Second Tier campaign played at the Late Ousman Saho Football Field in Old Yundum in April 2022 before their astonishing clash.
Gunjur United were enthusiastic for the maximum points to improve their Gambia Football Federation (GFF) First Division League promotion ambitions. The Coastal Town boys netted two goals in the match to clutch the significant three points.
Gunjur United now clasped 41 points after twenty-seven league matches. Wagadu FC scored one goal in the match which eventually proved to be a consolation for them.
The Upper River Region boys are with 23 points in twenty-seven league matches. Wagudu FC must win their remaining seven league matches to stay in the country’s Second Tier for another season.
