Africa-Press – Gambia. The Gambia government has announced that it will sell fertilizer at a subsidized price of One thousand, one hundred and fifty dalasis per 50Kg bag. This is a significant reduction from last year’s price of two thousand dalasis per bag and is expected to help farmers reduce their costs and increase their yields.
“In line with the Government’s policy to promote local production and support farmers with subsidized fertiliser, the Minister of Agriculture has announced availability for the upcoming cropping season. The Gambia Groundnut Corporation- GGC will sell 35,000 metric tonnes for D1,150 per 50 kg,” the government announced on Facebook.
