Police in Basse in have arrested one, Gibbi Gisseh, a native of Mankamang Kunda in the Jimara District of URR for reportedly beating his wife, which they believed might have led to her death, The Point has been reliably informed.
The suspect is currently under custody as investigations continue. A source who is familiar with the matter said the police in Basse are investigating whether or not the husband had beaten his wife to death.
The spokesperson of The Gambia Police Force, ASP Lamin Njie said: What I can tell you is that the Police Crime Unit at the Police Headquarters in Banjul is working with the police in Basse in order to get the necessary information with regard to the matter. We will communicate to you whenever we get the information.”
