Africa-Press – Gambia. The Senegalese news outlet, Seneweb, reported that Ousmane Sonko, the main opposition leader who is currently under custody has been rushed to one of the hospitals in Dakar for emergency check up.
Since his remand at Sebikotane Prison on 31 July 2023, Sonko has been reportedly on hunger strike.
His French Lawyer Juan Branco was arrested on Saturday in Roso, Mauritania after an arrest warrant was issued by Senegal following allegation that he was inciting violence in the country.
