Africa-Press – Gambia. The energy sphere is promising for Russia-Africa cooperation, as the African continent is now at the beginning of large-scale industrialization, Oleg Ozerov, Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry, said recently.
In an interview , Louis Gouend, the founder of the African Business Club, called for the development of cooperation between Africa and Russia in the renewable energy sector.
“It’s easier and faster. This is the kind of energy we should start with, it will involve other sectors of the economy of African countries,” he said.
Africa could also benefit from nuclear energy, but it is a “complex, long and expensive issue,” he said on the sidelines of a State Duma round table on energy cooperation with Africa.
