Prince FC secured a dramatic 3-2 win on penalties against Marenah FC after a goalless draw in regulation time during the afternoon match on Monday. The victory earned them a place in the second round of the BSC eliminations for the Summer Nawettan.
In the evening encounter, Young Boys FC displayed great determination and teamwork to defeat Marico FC 3-1, paving their way to the next round of qualifiers.
Prince FC have tried to reach the Nawettan proper for the past seven years without success. With seven clear spots now up for grabs, this could be their long-awaited opportunity to capitalise and finally make a breakthrough.
