Africa-Press – Gambia. FIFA President Gianni Infantino has extended his congratulations to Real de Banjul Football Club following their recent triumph as champions of the Gambian League.
In a letter dated 25 July 2025, Infantino applauded the club’s outstanding performance over the season, which culminated in their 15th league title. The league is sponsored by Baluwo.
“I am pleased to congratulate the new champions of The Gambia, Real de Banjul FC,” Infantino wrote, praising the team’s consistent efforts and results throughout the season. “Congratulations to each and every member of the team and of the club for this great achievement,” he said.
The FIFA president also commended the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) leadership for its continued commitment to the growth and development of football in the country.
Real de Banjul secured the 2025 title on 11 July with a decisive victory over Team Rhino Football Club. The win qualifies them to represent The Gambia in the upcoming CAF Champions League.
