They were welcomed in a colourful ceremony held at the Banjul ferry terminal by officials of the Gambia National Olympic Committee (GNOC), family members, and loved ones.
Speaking to the media upon arrival, Abdoulie Sanneh, captain of the basketball team, expressed appreciation to the Gambian people for their support during the tournament. He also called on the authorities to invest more in sports infrastructure to help athletes achieve greater success.
