Africa-Press – Gambia. Power Station FC and Young Power FC of Kabakel village secured their places in the final and decisive round of the Brikama Sports Committee (BSC) Nawettan qualifiers on Monday.
Young Power FC booked their spot after Edward Jassey scored the only goal of the match in the 25th minute against B.S. Academy. Despite their efforts throughout regulation time, B.S. Academy failed to find the back of the net. Forward Alpha Jallow came close on two occasions but was unable to convert.
In the evening’s match, Power Station FC faced Stockholm FC in a tightly contested game that ended goalless after regulation time. The winner was decided by a penalty shootout, with Power Station FC emerging victorious 4-3 to advance.
Power Station FC will now face Jalokoto FC of Foñi in the final playoff round to determine who qualifies for the Nawettan proper.
