Africa-Press – Gambia. Gambian international Jesper Ceesay has joined Turkish side Antalyaspor on a three-year contract, leaving Sweden’s IFK Norrköping to embark on a new chapter in his career.
The 23-year-old midfielder, who started his youth career at Sweden’s Brommapojkarna academy and later gained professional experience with AIK, impressed over the last two seasons at Norrköping. Last season, Ceesay featured in 16 Allsvenskan League matches, scoring once and registering an assist. His tactical awareness, aerial ability, and discipline on the field have been widely praised.
Antalyaspor, aiming to strengthen their squad during the 2025 summer transfer window, believe Ceesay will add both physicality and tactical depth to their midfield. The club’s management expressed optimism that the young Gambian’s arrival will bolster their push in domestic competitions.
