UDP Leader Darboe Calls for Unity to Challenge Barrow in 2026

Africa-Press – Gambia. United Democratic Party (UDP) leader Ousainou Darboe has urged his supporters to unite in their efforts to remove President Adama Barrow, whom he described as the source of the country’s difficulties.

“Our problem is Adama Barrow. Let us stand together, face him, and remove him,” Darboe declared.

He stressed that the challenges facing the nation are not of his making but rather stem from the current administration.

“Ousainou Darboe is not your problem because the country is not being governed by Ousainou Darboe. The hardships you are experiencing were not brought upon you by Ousainou Darboe,” he argued.

Darboe called on UDP supporters to serve as ambassadors and campaign managers for the party ahead of the 2026 elections, with the goal of addressing what he described as the country’s most pressing concern: the leadership of President Barrow.

The UDP leader made these remarks during an event welcoming new members into the party.
