Africa-Press – Gambia. Misira United secured a thrilling victory over their arch-rivals Touray’s FA in the Brikama Sports Committee Summer Nawettan, thanks to a brilliant performance by Dembo Danjo.

Danjo opened the scoring for Misira United with a spectacular strike from 30 yards, and completed his brace just three minutes later, giving his team a strong lead.

Touray’s FA responded after the break, with striker Muhammed Barrow converting a penalty in the 52nd minute, but the effort was not enough to level the score.

In another encounter at the Brikama Boxba Mini Stadium, Jambarr Sanneh FC claimed victory over Citizens FC in a tightly contested match. Goals from Omar Ceesay in the 32nd minute and Ruffin Mendy in the 66th minute put Jambarr Sanneh ahead, while Musa Saho pulled one back for Citizens FC. However, the late effort was insufficient to secure a point.

Meanwhile, Sanchaba Youths recorded a convincing 3-1 win over Power Station FC in the morning game on Sunday. Alieu Sambou and Seedy Fofana scored in the first half, followed by a third goal from Bubacarr Jallow in the 73rd minute. Malang Ceesay netted a consolation goal for Power Station in the 84th minute, but it could not prevent the defeat.
