Africa-Press – Gambia. Central II secured a commanding 4–0 victory over COSDA Zone in the ongoing West Coast Region Zonal Football Championship, while debutants Tujereng continued their impressive start to the campaign.
In the match played at the Bakary Sambuya Football Field on Saturday, Central II dominated proceedings from start to finish. Pierre Sanyang opened the scoring before Sang Marrie Sanneh doubled the lead. Sunkary Touray and Mamadi Ceesay added their names to the scoresheet to seal a comprehensive win for the home side.
Elsewhere in Tujereng, the newcomers edged defending champions Foni 1–0 in a tightly contested encounter. Yankuba Manneh’s decisive strike proved enough to earn Tujereng all three points and extend their unbeaten run.
The victory leaves Central II with three points after two matches, while COSDA remains without a point following two defeats. Tujereng now sit on six points after back-to-back wins, as Foni stay on three points from two games.
