The Unite Movement for Change (UNITE) is poised to take a significant step in its political evolution on Monday, December 1, 2025, when it formally submits its registration documents to the Independent Electoral Commission, a requirement for recognition as an official political party in The Gambia.
The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m., at IEC’s regional office. UNITE leaders say the march is intended to reflect the grassroots energy that has fueled the movement’s emergence.
“This is a historic moment for our movement,” UNITE said in a statement, adding that its entry into the political arena aims to broaden participation in The Gambia’s democratic process.
