Africa-Press – Gambia. The Gambia Balanta Youth and Sport Committee will host its annual Youth Football Festival from Friday, 10 April to Sunday, 12 April 2026, in Gunjur Kajabang, Kombo South.
The three-day event aims to promote youth empowerment, football development, and cultural unity. It will bring together fourteen teams from across the country, providing a platform for young players to showcase their skills while fostering discipline, teamwork, and community engagement.
Beyond the sporting competition, the festival seeks to strengthen cultural bonds within the Balanta community nationwide. Organizers have invited the general public, as well as business leaders, to attend and support the initiative, highlighting the importance of youth development and the spirit of football.
