Africa-Press – Gambia. League leaders Colley Stars FC returned to winning form in Week 21 of the Gambia Second Division League with a 2-1 victory over Serrekunda FC at Yundum, ending a run of three consecutive draws.
Bubacarr Suso gave Colley Stars the lead in the 35th minute before Bakary Sanyang doubled the advantage early in the second half. Serrekunda FC pulled one back, but the leaders held firm to secure all three points and maintain their position at the top of the table.
In Bakau, Gunjur United produced an impressive display to defeat Wallidan FC 3-1. Salifu Bojang opened the scoring in the 18th minute, while Musa Bojang delivered a standout performance with two quick goals in the 25th and 29th minutes, sealing a comfortable win for his side.
Elsewhere, Memmar Banjul United continued their strong run of form in the Eastern fixtures, recording a third straight victory with a narrow 1-0 win over Unique Global FC, who were reduced to 10 men during the encounter.
The results highlight an intense race in the league as teams push for crucial points heading into the final stretch of the season.
