Africa-Press – Gambia. <\/strong><\/span>Jallow said his agenda is to bring unity among member villages of not only his constituency but also his district; to promote and expand agriculture and sport as well as provide clean drinking water and roads construction to connect communities, substantiate the efforts in creating employment opportunities and enhance economic growth.<\/p>\n

Mamadou is enthusiastic and committed when it comes to community work. He is the first youth to organise a junior football tournament in Seno Bajonki village to help uplift youth in football and improve their morale and interest in sport particularly football in 2010. The tournament was successful and brought about togetherness among youth.<\/p>\n

\u201cI conducted uncountable activities ranging from cleaning exercises, sports, events, student support sensitisation including gender based violence, girls\u2019 education, child marriage and among others,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Jallow added that his passion for education resulted in him establishing a student association to help students\u2019 development and realise their potential in public speaking and fluency in both local and official languages.<\/p>\n

He further said that the association is also meant to motivate students achieve their goals in education by becoming qualified teachers, nurses, police officers, medical doctors, agriculturists among others.<\/p>\n

He complimented Government efforts during the Covid-19 pandemic by proving detergents, buckets, water and soaps to all entrances of his village by working with security personnel and regional health officials. In addition, he also took part in sensitising people of his community about the impact of the virus to ensure their protection. Jallow also advocates against the burning of charcoal within surrounding bushes in his district.<\/p>\n
