Africa-Press – Gambia. <\/strong><\/span>The latest report of the Ministry of Health has indicated that at least thirty-one people have been diagnosed with coronavirus disease, adding that one person has died of covid-19 related disease.<\/p>\n

In its 421st national situation report, the Ministry said: \u201cOne (1) new COVID-19 related death registered, bringing the total to 365 (Crude Case-Fatality Ratio, 3.1%) A total of 31 new cases were registered (Cumulative cases 11,911).\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe test positivity rate is 1.9% (31\/1652), NPHL \u20131621 (29 positives) and MRCG \u2013 31 (2 Positives). One (1) case are currently on oxygen therapy. A total of 59 cases were discharged after at least 10 days from the day they tested positive but evaded institutional isolation and 1 from COVID-19 treatment centres.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs of 5th February 2022, the following numbers of people have been vaccinated with: Johnson & Johnson: Only 1 dose: 283,501. Sinopharm: Dose 1: 4,507, Dose 2: 3,358. AstraZeneca: Dose 1: 40,680, Dose 2: 28,692,\u201d the ministry added.<\/p>\n

\u201cTarget population (based on micro-planning estimates \u2013 1,564,214). Proportion of target population fully vaccinated (2 doses of AZ\/Sinopharm OR 1 dose of J&J): 20.2%. Proportion of target population that received at least one Covid-19 vaccine dose (AZ OR J&J OR Sinopharm): 21.0% TOTAL POPULATION (Based on final MoH population projections for 2021 \u2013 2,438,899). Proportion of total population fully vaccinated (2 doses of AZ\/Sinopharm OR 1 dose of J&J): 12.9%. Proportion of total population that received at least one Covid-19 vaccine dose (AZ OR J&J OR Sinopharm): 13.5%,\u201d the Ministry added.<\/p>\n
