Africa-Press – Gambia. <\/strong><\/span>Paul Hawker alias PabloGDaSameMan, who is currently on a visit to the Smiling Coast of Africa, believes the donation is part of the ideology and philosophy he represents in caring and sharing with needy people.<\/p>\n

Presenting the items, the Guyanese music star revealed that the idea behind the move is that what he has been advocating for these past years is fulfilled.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe reason why I am giving this charity to the poor and needy is because the gesture relates to one of my biggest and most touching songs titled \u2018help someone\u2019. In this song, I always advocate the need for people to share their wealth with the poor and the needy.\u201d<\/p>\n

The song, he added, quickly became fans\u2019 favorite gaining acceptance across the globe, thanks to its uplifting and touching notes. Having conceived the idea of sharing and caring with the poor and needy since a youngster in Guyana, Hawker believes the donation is part of fulfilling those dreams.<\/p>\n

The international star, also released another motivating song titled DaSameMan, which is currently garnering attention among music fans, in which he chants real consciousness and for people of African descent to always relate to their ancestral home.<\/p>\n

\u201cGiving out this charity, I thought of helping my people back in Guyana, but also my ancestral home -Africa, which The Gambia happens to be part of.\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

The recipients, were full of joy, further expressing appreciation for the gesture. They prayed for God Almighty to guide and protect him in his music endeavor. The event was graced by members of the community including the imam of the area.<\/p>\n

Born Paul Hawker was born in Georgetown, Guyana on February 20, 1958 and he attended St. Mary\u2019s High School in Georgetown, Guyana. It was in 1974, at the age of 13, when he left for America where he continued his schooling at Boys and Girls High in Brooklyn, New York.<\/p>\n

He got the music inspiration at a young age and this quickly came into reality in 1972 while listening to artistes like Paul McCartney, and groups like New Birth and Earth Wind and Fire on the radio.<\/p>\n

In 1974, Bob Marley exploded in the United States and \u2018Pablo G\u2019 began hanging out listening to Dance Hall Music by artistes like Big Youth, I Roy, and the like. In1977, when \u201cthe two sevens clashed\u201d, he joined the \u201cShock Treatment\u201d band owned by Noel Waddle.<\/p>\n
