Africa-Press – Gambia. <\/strong><\/span>The Queen Scorpions will play Cameroon in the final leg of the second round qualifiers for the 2022 Africa Women\u2019s Cup of Nations (AWCON) today at 4pm. Coach Boom Sowe\u2019s side will brawl for revenge and will need to fight tooth and nail to overturn the tie.<\/p>\n

Speaking to GFF Media, Captain Penda Bah reiterated the team\u2019s commitment to keep fighting for pride. \u201cI still want to tell the country that we need their support, motivation and encouragement. I always talk about this because it is important. All we have to do is to rectify our mistakes,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Bah added that they have learned a lot already and as such today\u2019s game will be different. \u201cIt is not going to be like the first leg,\u201d she assured fans.<\/p>\n

Haleema Hamilton Froidland, who plays in the Swiss women\u2019s super league thanked Gambians for their encouragement and support despite the heavy defeat in Cameroon.<\/p>\n

The FC Luzern sensational player also said that the first leg was a difficult encounter but they had learned from it and would improve in the second leg.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have been preparing very well in training for the second leg here in The Gambia and are ready to strike back,\u201d she further said, noting that Cameroon is one of the best teams in Africa if not in the world but they would give their best.
