Africa-Press – Gambia. <\/strong><\/span>In their quest to serve humanity, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama\u2019at in The Gambia yesterday made another disbursement of foodstuffs, clothing and cash to forty-four fire victims from eight households in Bundung, Tallinding and Faji Kunda in the Kanifing Municipality worth one hundred and sixty thousand five hundred dalasi.<\/p>\n

The recipients were victims of a fire outbreak in Bundung including a man who lost his young children to the flames. The donated items included bags of rice, clothing, cooking oil and one thousand dalasi to each family member. The Jamaat\u2019s magnanimity has been extended to many people in this country especially disaster victims, the poor and the needy.<\/p>\n

Baba F Trawally, the Amir of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama\u2019at said the \u201cAhmadiyya Muslim Jama\u2019at is here to propagate pristine and pure teachings of Islam. We were told that Mahdi is coming and we will see signs like this when that time comes. All the signs that have been prophesised have come true unless you don\u2019t know, \u201che said.<\/p>\n

Amir added that human beings have two obligations, to live with your neighbours, assist and be tolerant to them. He called on people with the means to come out and help the needy people in the society.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe all have an obligation to assist the society \u201che added. The Amir called on Gambians to remain united and nurture peace.<\/p>\n

Ngange Jeng, National Disaster Management Agency Municipal Disaster Coordinator who represented the Agency said the Jama\u2019at has been partnering with his office for a very long time, rendering such service to victims, the poor and needy.<\/p>\n

Karamo Ceesay, Councillor Tallinding ward thanked the Jama\u2019at for the donations. In receiving the items, victims Ismaila Trawally and Dawda Nyangado thanked the Jama\u2019at for coming to their aid.<\/p>\n
