Africa-Press – Gambia. <\/strong><\/span>With less than two weeks before the Afcon 2023 preliminary tie against Chad, Gambia coach Tom Saintfiet is expected to call up 23 players for the double header. The coach however is yet to disclose the list but the GFF confirmed the players will gather in Brussels from March 20. The team will then fly from Brussels to Cameroon where, because of a Caf stadium ban, Chad will play her home leg on March 23.<\/p>\n

The Gambia too cannot play at home for similar reasons and will host the return leg in Morocco on March 29 The GFF said a delegation of officials, mainly technical staff, from The Gambia will join the team. The winner of the tie will progress to the group stages of the qualifiers, which starts in June.<\/p>\n
