Africa-Press – Gambia. <\/strong><\/span>By Arfang M.S. Camara Goodwill Ambassador for Sports Tijan Jaiteh, through his Foundation on Thursday donated sports items including jerseys and footballs to The Gambia Police Force.<\/p>\n

The presentation ceremony was held at the office of the Inspector General of Police in Banjul. Speaking at the presentation, Ambassador Jaiteh stated that the police who also run a very vibrant sports unit play a very important role in the lives of every Gambian.<\/p>\n

\u201cSports has become an integral part of the police force hence the need to facilitate its growth and development by supporting the GFF in whatever form,\u201d said the former Gambian professional player.<\/p>\n

Speaking after receiving the items on behalf of the police, Abdoulie Sanyang, Inspector General of Police (IGP) expressed happiness to Ambassador Tijan Jaiteh and his Foundation for the gesture.<\/p>\n

He added that the donated items will go a long way in helping the police, especially the sports unit. He called on others to emulate Ambassador Jaiteh.<\/p>\n
