Africa-Press – Gambia. <\/strong><\/span>The swearing-in ceremony of the newly appointed judges was held at State House while the introductory ceremony was held at the high court complex in Banjul on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The appointed high court judges are Justice Sheriff B. Tabally, who will be deployed to the Brikama High Court, Justice Sidi K. Jobarteh, who will be deployed to Mansakonko High Court to be responsible for North Bank Region while Justice Isatou Janneh Njie will be stationed at Kanifing High Court before she later moves to Bundung High Court.<\/p>\n

At the swearing-in ceremony at State House, President Barrow said the appointments were in fulfilment of his government\u2019s pledge to continue strengthening the country\u2019s judiciary and civil service respectively. He said the new judges will add to the Gambianisation of the judiciary.<\/p>\n

Chief Justice Hassan B. Jallow called on members of the bar to come and take the mantle of leadership at the various positions of the Supreme and High Courts of The Gambia as positions are still vacant at the honorable courts.<\/p>\n

Justice Sheriff B. Tabally, the newly appointed high court judge, thanked the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) and the Office of the Chief Justice for the trust and confidence reposed in them in appointing them as regional high court judges in The Gambia.<\/p>\n
