He revealed this during his audience with Banjul Muslim elders at State House, in Banjul.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have talked about the issue of the ferry and the ferry has consumed what we inaugurated, which was so difficult. We brought new ferries and the work has been going on, but issues of ferry are costly. We see that when you lay down a solution and you keep having the same results and we say now let\u2019s look for another solution: that\u2019s to have a private company that will also work and the government works to make the issue easy,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, now we have signed a contract with a company that is to come and work and it is investing over $50 million for the water route of the ferry and other stuff, and it will employ Gambians to work in its company to make transportation between Banjul and Barra easy.
