Africa-Press – Gambia. <\/strong><\/span>Yonna Forex Bureau, one of the leading microfinance institutions in the Gambia has presented a cheque amounting to One hundred and fifty thousand dalasi (D150,000) to Almameh Fofana a native of Faraba village in the Kombo East, West coast Region.<\/p>\n

The support was as a result of the old man compound side building collapsed due to the heavy wind. The old man started constructing another shelter for his family but due to financial challenges, it was posted on the social media seeking for support.<\/p>\n

However, due to this needs the management of Yonna Forex Bureau decided to support this man to complete this project which led to this donation of One hundred and fifty thousand dalasi to the Old Man family. The old man is also a customer to Yonna Forex Bureau over the years. The old man Mr. Fofana have only young children.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the presentation ceremony held at his compound Mommodou Barrow, general manager of Yonna Forex Bureau said: \u201cYonna forex bureau is a money transfer business or operator in the Gambia license by the central bank of the Gambia in 2008.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to him, since then they have been steadily operating in the market and has drastically expanded in the Gambia and they have covered almost all the regions across the Gambia, adding Yonna Forex Bureau have several branches in almost all the regions in the country that has made it easier for their customers to get access to their services.<\/p>\n

\u201cYanna Forex Bureau came to support this old man, the message was on social media that time I was not even in the country but after seen its constantly on the social media, I immediately sent the information to the head of business at Yonna Forex Bureau for them to review and we acknowledged it to support the old man\u201d. Mr. Barrow further expressed optimistic that the money donated will served as a motivation to everybody that have something to contribute towards helping this old man.<\/p>\n

According to Mr. Barrow among their priority is to give back to the society that his company is serving across the country. While adding that many businesses have many reasons why they exit and he is also very sure that every business has its component that the cooperate social responsibility to really give back to the society.<\/p>\n

According to him, there are many needy families that also need the same support therefore I would encourage business people and Gambians to really come and support the needy so that we can be able to build our environment and also build the Gambia as one family<\/p>\n

For his part, Almameh Fofana, the head of the family expressed joys and appreciation over the donated money to support his family in the rebuilding of his compound.<\/p>\n

\u201cI thank the Management of the Yonna Forex Bureau for remembering my family\u2019s existence because this is really a big support to me I don\u2019t know what to say unless to pray for the company to continue growing higher and higher,\u201d he prayed.<\/p>\n
