Africa-Press – Gambia. <\/strong><\/span>Former Gambia U-20 Coach Matarr M\u2019boge has signed a professional contract with an American club Loudoun United FC on Friday.<\/p>\n

The 42 year-old Gambian coach is being appointed the assistant coach of Loudoun United FC.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m very excited to join the team and help the club achieve success. I visited the organization back in January on a study tour and was impressed with the facilities, the player development pathway, quality of players and most of all the dedication and knowledge from everyone involved,\u201d said Loudoun United Assistant Coach, Mattar M\u2019Boge. \u201cIt was a great pleasure to meet Stewart Mairs and Ryan Martin so to now have the opportunity to work with them dayto-day and to be able to feed-off their knowledge and ability, will only enhance my development as a coach. I\u2019m here to help us win and I really look forward to working with a world-class group of people.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are excited to welcome Mattar to Loudoun United; he has tremendous experience and success coaching elite youth players with the Gambian National Team,\u201d said Head Coach Ryan Martin. \u201cHe brings all the personal values that I like to have in my staff. He is hardworking, loves the game, and always wants to learn and get better. He truly believes in the process-oriented approach to player development.\u201d<\/p>\n

M\u2019Boge was appointed to head coach of Gambian Premier Division Club Real de Banjul in March of 2014. In his first season in charge, M\u2019Boge and Real de Banjul won the league championship.<\/p>\n

In April 2015, M\u2019Boge joined The Gambian Football Federation (GFF) full-time. He worked in various positions including Men\u2019s U-17 Head Coach, Men\u2019s Senior Team Assistant Head Coach, Men\u2019s U-20 Head Coach, and is currently the Men\u2019s U-23 Head Coach.<\/p>\n

Loudoun United FC is an American professional soccer team based in Leesburg, Virginia. The team was founded in 2018 as the reserve team of D.C. United and made its debut in the USL Championship in 2019<\/p>\n
