Africa-Press – Gambia. <\/strong><\/span>As Muslims around the world recently observed by performing the annual religious, Tabaski Feast (Eid-al Adha), the first significant thing that goes through the minds of all worshipers immediately after completing the Eid performance at the praying grounds, is to seek forgiveness from various individuals, particularly from family members, relatives, friends, and the neighborhood.<\/p>\n

There the power for forgiveness stands on its feet. Everybody, stretching from the (Imam) the leader of the congregation, to the last person, seeks forgiveness from one another for offending one another knowingly or unknowingly, an instrument worth emulating.<\/p>\n

This shows that no mankind is above the law or is perfect, one is bound to make mistakes with repentance which, therefore, calls for forgiveness from individuals.<\/p>\n

The power of forgiving is a tool stronger than the power of revenge. Forgiveness brings people of the same faith much closer together, it erases a lot of hatred amongst the people by appreciating one another for a better future.<\/p>\n

As Tobaski already celebrated, mercy should, however, be a daily tool to be utilized amongst us in our daily lives for it is a fast way to bring people together with comfort and trust.<\/p>\n

Forgiveness also turns down enemies to friendship for it is one of the tools that put mankind at ease with a piece of mind and so much joy with love and appreciation.<\/p>\n

In everyday life, families, people of different backgrounds, religions, and the same or different works of life, associate to pursue similar or different objectives, therefore, tolerance with understanding amongst them would be of high value.<\/p>\n

Forgiveness, however, brings people of different faith together, therefore, it would be urged for people to forgive, tolerate and appreciate one another for a better future. Forgiveness is a powerful tool to resolve any matter and to any solution.<\/p>\n
