Africa-Press – Gambia. <\/strong><\/span>The Coastal Town boys hammered Medical FC 4-0 in their round of sixteen tie of the annual FF Cup championship before rubbing shoulders with Gamtel in their last eight clash.<\/p>\n

Gamtel defeated The Gambia Armed Forces 2-1 in their round of sixteen match. Gunjur United and Gamtel were both enthusiastic to thump each other in their quarterfinal match to navigate to the semifinals of the annual FF Cup competition.<\/p>\n

Pa Assan Barrow alias Gutty gave Gunjur United the lead in the first half from an astonishing free-kick before budding Rashidou Njie alias Zala scored the second goal in the second half to inspire the Coastal Town boys to a resounding 2-0 victory over Gamtel.<\/p>\n

The win earned Gunjur United a place in the semifinals of the 2021-2022 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) FF Cup competition. The Coastal Town boys will now turn their attention to their 2021-2022 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Division Two League week-28 fixture against Young Africans on Monday 18th July 2022 at the Late Ousman Saho Football Field in Yundum at 4pm.<\/p>\n

Gunjur United will affray to win their remaining seven league outings to gain promotion to The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) First Division League next season.<\/p>\n

Gamtel will now switch their attention to the 2021-2022 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Division One League campaign after their exit from the FF Cup competition. The Telecommunication giants will contend to win their remaining five league matches to stay in the country\u2019s Elite League for another season.<\/p>\n
