Africa-Press – Gambia. <\/strong><\/span>Governor Bah, who was speaking in an exclusive interview with The Point, noted that his intention was to bring together the people of Lower River Region to speak in one voice and also support the development agenda of the Barrow administration.<\/p>\n

\u201cNothing can be achieved in the absence of peace and unity. In LRR we are all related but with different views. We are just from elections and people have divergent views. So, in order to consolidate the gains, it is better we all have one common goal,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

According to him, unity is the only thing that can help in consolidating their gains. \u201cIt will be challenging to bring together a total of six districts in both Kiang and Jarra to have a common goal but I am determined to do so. The beauty about the whole thing is that I am also from Kiang in LRR.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mr. Bah who is the current General Manager of Gamgate Consortium said after uniting the people of LRR he intends to work on other areas in the region such as peace and progress, curb crimes and to make sure youth are engaged into productive sectors where they would acquire skills.<\/p>\n

He further said that he also aims to ensure women as well as the elderly in the region are supported and encouraged through Small and Medium Enterprises (SME\u2019s).<\/p>\n

He added that all of these cannot be achieved in the absence of peace and unity. Mr. Bah thankedPresident Barrow for selecting him out of the many Gambians to serve as Govermor.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel very humble and appreciate the opportunity. I thank the Gambian leader for the trust bestowed on me,\u201d he said while expressing hope and confidence in executing his functions to the best of his ability.<\/p>\n
