Hawks FC won the Gambian Premier League after defeating the Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) 3-1 during their week-29 fixtures played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Modou Lamin Jarju\u2019s brace and Omar Sarr strike was enough to make Hawks FC the champions of the GFF First Division League. The Banjul-based team won for the first time after 26 years with a game to spare. They finally won the league after collecting 59 points. They registered 18 wins, 5 draws and suffered 6 defeats in 29 games.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m very happy to have won the title this season, because it\u2019s been awhile since we last won it. Our success came after we played as a team and listened to our coaches.
