Its management is the custodian of its editorial policy. The Board should ensure that the editorial policy of the public broadcaster is in line with the fundamental principles of the Constitution and laws that are connected to them. Section 208 of the Constitution states:<\/h1>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"td_block_wrap tdb_single_content td_uid_26_5db35ad25afa3_rand td-pb-border-top td_block_template_4 td-post-content tagdiv-type\" data-td-block-uid=\"td_uid_26_5db35ad25afa3\">\n<div class=\"tdb-block-inner td-fix-index\">\n<p><em>\u201c<\/em><em>All\u00a0State\u00a0<\/em><em>owned newspapers, journals, radio and television\u00a0<\/em><em>shall\u00a0<\/em><em>afford\u00a0fair\u00a0<\/em><em>opportunities and\u00a0<\/em><em>facilities for the presentation of divergent views and dissenting\u00a0<\/em><em>opinions.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>This is the mandate of the public broadcaster. If a welcoming party receives President Barrow, the public broadcaster should cover the event. If the leadership of any of the other political parties in the country is received by a welcoming crowd, they should equally be provided with coverage.
