Africa-Press – Gambia. <\/strong><\/span>Hon. Cham was speaking on Monday during the meeting with Meet the People\u2019s Tour held at Ndungu Kebbbeh community.<\/b><\/p>\n

This year\u2019s Meet the People\u2019s Tour is centred on the theme: \u2018Together we can accelerate socio-economic growth and maintain peace and stability\u2019.<\/p>\n

Like other communities, this is an opportunity for communities of Lower Niumi to raise their concerns through a dialogue with the president for possible solutions.<\/p>\n

In a sideline interview with the press during the meeting, Cham called on the president to help provide a sea-ambulance for the health sector to ease immediate referrals to Banjul during odd hours when the ferries would have closed from their daily operations.<\/p>\n

He added that From Fass Njaga Choi to NdunguKebbeh and Essau, most of referrals with critical conditions to Banjul come during odd hours.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo if we happen to have this sea-ambulance that would be staged on standby at Barra, it would be easy for us to transport patients to Banjul for immediate medical attention,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

He also talked about feeder roads, saying the entire Upper and Lower Niumi and Jokadu have difficulties to easily access hospitals.<\/p>\n

He further justified the President\u2019s tour, saying that it is significant to have the President on tour every year to have positive and effective dialogue with the people. He advised his electorates to exercise patience and to join hands for national development.<\/p>\n
