{"id":254,"date":"2019-09-08T18:51:35","date_gmt":"2019-09-08T18:51:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.com\/gambia\/?p=254"},"modified":"2019-09-08T18:51:35","modified_gmt":"2019-09-08T18:51:35","slug":"world-record-74-year-old-woman-to-deliver-twins","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/gambia\/all-news\/world-record-74-year-old-woman-to-deliver-twins","title":{"rendered":"World Record: 74-Year Old Woman To Deliver Twins"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>A 74-year old woman will deliver twin babies on Thursday in India after being married for 54 years without a child.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>70-year-old Indian woman who gave birth to twins in 2015<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Yerramatti Raja Rao is set to be delivered of her babies in a private hospital in Guntur city, India as doctors have made all arrangements for the procedure.<\/p>\n<p>The birth of the twin babies will topple a record set by another Indian woman who gave birth to twin babies in 2015 at the age of 70.<\/p>\n<p>AD<\/p>\n<p>The oldest woman ever reported to have a baby was in Italy at the age of 101.<\/p>\n<p>According to doctors Yerramatti Raja Rao who hailed from Nelapartipadu in East Godavari district married Mangayamma on March 22, 1962.<\/p>\n<p>After few years of their marriage, they expected children, but dreams were not fulfilled.<\/p>\n<p>Though the couple became old, their dream was not fulfilled.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, a woman residing near their house became pregnant at the age of 55-years through IVF.<\/p>\n<p>Mangayamma drew inspiration from her.<\/p>\n<p>She along with her husband approached Ahalya Nursing Home in Guntur city.<\/p>\n<p>They met IVF experts Dr.Sanakkayala Umashankar.<\/p>\n<p>The doctors collected Mangayamma\u2019s husband sperm and tried in the IVF system.<\/p>\n<p>Doctors efforts were fruitful.<\/p>\n<p>Since then, Mangayamma was under the supervision of doctors in the nursing home.<\/p>\n<p>Dr.Umashankar decided to perform cesarean to her today at 10.30 am.
