Africa-Press – Gambia. <\/strong><\/span>After enlivening festivities and parties for several years, Julbrew has now become a missing link in many beer lovers\u2019 quest for the excitement of the cockles of the heart.<\/b><\/p>\n

The Gambia\u2019s Very Own Beer has thrilled and excited beer lovers, including tourists but heavy tax burden has forced its manufacturers to look the other way.<\/p>\n

The lager beer was a jolly good companion of many but for the past few Christmas and New Year festivities, it has not been around with them.<\/p>\n

Freezing cold lager beer bottles are no longer showing up at party sessions.<\/p>\n

Profoundly missed and fondly remembered by many of it\u2019s heartbroken lovers, there\u2019s currently no bright future for the return of the Gambia\u2019s Very Own Beer.<\/p>\n

The beer plant of Banjul Breweries closed down nearly four years ago. Investors closed down operations after they felt the tax was overburdening.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, it\u2019s not only beer lovers, who have been mourning the demise of the Gambia\u2019s Very Own Beer but hundreds of families as well.<\/p>\n

The resultant downsizing of staff and the subsequent closure of the company have also led to hundreds of job loses.<\/p>\n
