Africa-Press – Gambia. <\/strong><\/span>Emerging Gambian author, Lamin Sanneh, an employee of NAWEC recently authored his second book titled \u201cJoyfulness Now.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

At the ceremony, Sanneh, acknowledged that in life, everyone whether good or bad, wants to be happy.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut few of us know how to attain the highest level of happiness that is joy. Happiness is divided into three categories; one for the body, one for the world, and one for the soul. People tend to go for the lowest level of happiness that is pleasure, because that is the happiness many people think is the only happiness one can enjoy. Happiness for the body is called pleasure, happiness for the world is contentment and happiness for the soul is joy. \u201cJoyfulness Now\u201d will show you how to attain the highest level of happiness and that is joy.\u201d he highlighted.<\/p>\n

Sanneh spoke highly of the book, saying it is a motivational book which seeks to help people look at the brighter side of life.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt seeks to put premium on joyfulness no matter what the daily headlines are, its prescription for positivity, and happiness and joy is simple as laughter, meditation, spirituality and to absorb the moment of now as much as possible.\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

The book, he added, is a philosophical one and assured all that joy is innate and internal and self-created.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt puts much emphasis on the present moment. That is do not wait for tomorrow for what you can enjoy today,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Mr Sanneh, said another nugget the book shares is that when we deprive love or happiness, we miss them. What you deprive others, you also cannot enjoy.<\/p>\n

\u201cHere the premium is put on solidarity and mutual assistance and sharing. What we share we cannot lose,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Hassan Bah, Senior Regional Manager NAWEC assured readers that they will not regret reading the book.<\/p>\n

Matarr Manjang, Senior Manager Group Customer Service, equally advised people to develop the will for reading and acknowledges the message the book teaches.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe need to be ready to read books most especially books written by our fellow Gambians. This book is teaching great things about happiness and joy,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
