Africa-Press – Gambia. <\/strong><\/span>The GFF Banjul Regional inter-schools football tournament has reached its climax in the Upper Basic School category with St Augustine\u2019s and St Joseph\u2019s to go head to head in both boys and girls finals.<\/b><\/p>\n

Yamundaw Mbye\u2019s lone goal was enough for St Augustine\u2019s to beat Garba Jahumpa 1-0 to book a place in the girls\u2019 final. Meanwhile, St Joseph\u2019s beat J.C Faye 3-1 on post-match penalty shootouts following a goalless draw in regulation time to book a date with St Joseph\u2019s in the final slated for Thursday 16th March 2023.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, St Joseph\u2019s boys hammered J.C Faye 4-0 in the semifinal match played in the Banjul Mini Stadium. Modou Jobe scored a brace while Abdou Sarr and Abdou Kargbo each scored a goal. Meanwhile, St Augustine\u2019s made sure it\u2019s a double final for them with a 1-0 semifinal win over Garba Jahumpa.<\/p>\n

Both finals are slated for Thursday, 16th March 2023, in the Banjul Mini Stadium, starting at 11 am.<\/p>\n
